CHAPTER 18

CASSIE

My room is dense with heated air and sounds of sex. Mind-blowing sex. Damn, I knew Asher would be good. I’d overheard enough conversations over the years to put that together. Yet knowing…and knowing—actually experiencing his skills are two different things.

He slides his hand between my legs as his impressive length pumps in and out, hitting the spot that causes tingles to prickle over every millimeter of my skin. I imagine telling him that it’s pointless. He’s brought me to orgasm three times already, once in my living room and two others in this bed. There’s no way I can do a fourth. I attempt to slap his hand away, as my words are drowning in blissful exhaustion.

Asher’s lips find mine. He kisses me hard, and if reading my mind, he whispers, “You can do it, Cass. One more.”

I can’t.

I’m spent.

My mouth falls open as he picks up the pace. His thrusts are forceful as he circles my bundle of nerves with his thumb. A high-pitched cry breaks free as my body starts to shake. It’s too much. Too insanely good.

“That’s it. Let go, baby.”

My eyes clench tight as I feel a plethora of emotions and sensations burning through me. Asher is a freaking artist, and I’m his canvas to create. He’s given me an evening of masterpieces, and beyond all odds, another one is building. It’s painfully pleasurable, unrelenting in its chase. I focus on the climb, selfishly wanting another fall.

My surroundings, Asher, everything… are a blur. All I can focus on is the build as Asher works my body higher and higher.

Every nerve ending is lit on fire, and my heartbeat quickens as my mouth falls open to allow for faster breaths. The sensations ignite all at once and a sob escapes as waves of pleasure escape. One after the next.

I’m vaguely aware of Asher finding his release as the aftershocks of my orgasm vibrate from my core to each of my limbs. I can honestly say, I’ve never experienced this level of pleasure. Asher makes me feel like the queen I was born to be.

He lies to my side and threads his fingers through mine. The space is silent for a while save for our heavy breaths.

“I knew you’d be perfect,” he says.

Pulling my fingers from him, I turn on my side, and prop my head up. I splay my hand across his warm chest, already missing the touch of his skin. “Perfect?” I raise a brow.

“For me? Hell, yeah. God, you don’t know how long I’ve wanted to be with you.” He twirls an errant strand of hair that’s fallen over my shoulder between his finger.

“Since Quinn’s wedding this summer?” I grin, thinking back to our first kiss.

“Hell no. Long before that.”

I squint. “Since when?”

“Well, to say the very first time I saw you as I walked into freshman English comp wouldn’t be a lie.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

“Why didn’t you ever make a move before Quinn’s wedding?”

He drops my hair and wraps his arm around my waist, pulling me toward him until our skin meets.
